Good Thursday morning!
Today is the last day of the Republican National Convention where Trump is slated to formally accept the nomination for president of the United States.
On Wednesday night, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence formally accepted the nomination for vice president of the United States. Pence made the case for a Donald Trump presidency, in his highly anticipated speech.
Pence took direct aim at the Hillary Clinton and urged Republicans to vote for the Republican nominee saying a Clinton presidency would be disastrous for America.
During his speech Wednesday night, Sen. Ted Cruz only mentioned the Donald Trump once and refused to endorse the Republican nominee. Rather he urged Republicans to “vote your conscious” on election day.
Thursday morning, Cruz defended his speech at the Republican National Convention and refused to say whether or not he would support Donald Trump. “I am not in the habit of supporting people who attack my wife and attack my father,” Cruz said.
“Neither he nor his campaign has taken back a word of what they said about my family,” he added.
