Donald Trump did not receive a sizable post convention bump according to a new poll released Tuesday.
A new NBC News/Survey Monkey online poll found that presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton leads the Republican nominee by one point, 46 percent to 45 percent, the same as in last week’s poll.
However, when third-party candidates are factored in Trump leads Clinton by two points, 41 to 39 percent, Libertarian Party nominee Gary Johnson receives 10 percent, and Green Party nominee Jill Stein receives five percent.
The NBC News/Survey Monkey found that after Trump’s acceptance speech 37 percent of voters said their impression of the Republican Party had not changed, 36 percent said they have a less favorable view of the party since the convention.
A Real Clear Politics average of polls shows Trump has a one point lead over Clinton nationally, 45.6 percent to 44.7 percent.
The NBC News/Survey Monkey poll was conducted July 18-24 and has a 1.2 percent margin of error.
