RNC Chairman Priebus: ‘This is just the beginning’

Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus predicted that more emails stolen from the Democratic National Committee (DNC) are on the way and will cause more trouble for the Democrats.

“I think this is just the beginning. I think there are going to be more emails coming out,” Priebus told Sean Hannity during a radio interview on Monday.

“These folks don’t just dump everything they have on one shot. They’re gonna come back over and over and over again,” he said

“What about the emails that show they were coordinating federal appointments for fundraising? In other words, ‘Hey you raise [a certain] amount of money and I’m going to give you a federal appointment to either an embassy or some other type of job. This is just the beginning.”

Hillary Clinton’s campaign signaled Tuesday it is bracing for more damaging emails to be released heading into the general election.

“The WikiLeaks leak was obviously designed to hurt our convention,” Clinton communications director Jennifer Palmieri said. “I don’t think they’re done. That’s how they operate.”

WikiLeaks on Friday published 20,000 emails that had been stolen from the DNC earlier this year. The fallout from the leak led to DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s resignation from her position.

The FBI announced on Monday that it was investigating the leak.
