Trump: I’m being ‘sarcastic’ about Russians finding Clinton’s emails

Donald Trump said he was being “sarcastic” when he said he hopes Russian hackers find emails deleted from Hillary Clinton’s private server.

“They have no idea if it’s Russia, if it’s China, if it’s somebody else,” Trump said in an interview that aired Thursday on “Fox and Friends.” “Who knows who it is?”

“The real problem is what was said on those emails from the Democratic National Committee. It was disgraceful. It’s disgraceful. They talk about religion, they talk about race, they talk about all sorts of things, including women. And they’re just trying to deflect trouble,” Trump said.

On Wednesday, Trump said he hopes Russian hackers find thousands of emails deleted from Clinton’s private server.

“If they hacked, they probably have her 33,000 emails,” he said during a press conference. “I hope they do.”

“Russia, if you are listening, I hope you are able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing. I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by the press.”

Last year Clinton gave the State Department around 30,000 work related emails, but said she deleted 30,000 personal emails.
