Clinton leads Trump in Georgia

Hillary Clinton has a 4-point lead over Donald Trump in a new poll of Georgia.

Clinton leads Trump 44 percent to 40 percent according to an Atlanta Journal-Constitution survey released Friday morning. Clinton’s lead shrinks to 3 points when third-party candidates are including the poll.

Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson receives 11 percent support, while Green Party candidate Jill Stein receives 2 percent.

Georgia has voted for GOP’s presidential nominee in every election since 1996. Former President Bill Clinton is the last Democrat to turn Georgia blue.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution poll found Trump and Clinton are equally unpopular in Georgia, with both scoring 58 percent unfavorability ratings there.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution poll was of 847 registered voters was conducted from August 1-4 and has a 4-point margin of error.
